In short it's a very toxic environment. Not worth the few pros. See reasons below: -Discrimination against warehouse employees. Were treated like second-class citizens even by our own warehouse manager. Were always told to not talk to front office employees because we distract them but meanwhile the front office have been seen multiple times on the computer online shopping or using social media, talking about things not work-related like vacations, standing in kitchen to make tea but it's just a front to talk some more, etc. Warehouse always comes in early and stays late during holidays and doesn't get recognition, meanwhile front office stayed a couple hours late on some days and get a shout out from CEO and paid lunch. The warehouse manager and accounting manager go on 1 hr+ breaks together while employees are scolded if they are even 1 minute late from coming back from lunch -Warehouse manager has blatant favoritism and nepotism. There was an incident husband was not wearing safety shoes and didn't have doctor's note to explain why. The supervisor and Joint Health and Safety Committee leader asked him why he was not wearing his safety shoes. In response, the warehouse manager's husband yelled and told the supervisor "f*** you" and stormed out of the building. Despite the unprofessional behaviour, the warehouse manager did not take visible action. The family friends that the warehouse manager hired were incompetent or disrespectful, and even if you complain to her about it she will do nothing. The warehouse manager lets them get away with poor work and attitudes just because she has a personal relationship with them, meanwhile, warehouse turnover rate is through the roof because of this -Sexual harassment claims not taken that seriously. There was a guy that worked in warehouse that's a longtime employee and friends with the warehouse manager who said and did sexually inappropriate things to the girls who worked in the warehouse. They've brought it up and was told action was being taken but he continued on. He was only fired when one of the girls went directly to CEO after not being able to take it anymore -Management themselves participate in gossip while scolding staff not to. They listen in on personal conversations during your break time. One manager even spread personal conversation of one employee to other managers which resulted in the employee having to have a meeting with her manager -Security and monitoring devices everywhere. It's one thing for it to be for the sake of security but the warehouse manager put cameras pointing at every single person. One of the warehouse girls found out that a camera was installed inside her office in the corner when she was not there and one of the warehouse guys saw them putting a camera in the break room which looked like it records audio. Not to mention,if you're not a favourite, prepare to be watched for your entire shift by the warehouse manager and her husband
