Mot of the peers working there are very intelligent and capable, willing to share ideas and build the company up if given the chance. The new CEO is very capable and excited about improving the conditions at HighMount. The amount of skill required to work at HighMount is minimal.

Svantaggi

Managers are not very good leaders and seem to rotate job duties every 6 to 8 months during budget review or problems with planning. Operations Management refuses to train employees or support industry organizations. Operations Management feels that HES gets in the way of doing business unless the CEO dictates a change needs to occur. Operations Management at odds with CEO. They do not play well together and that creates goal conflicts with the company.

Great opportunity for recent graduates and junior-level employees. Management is very supportive in facilitating the training, coaching and mentoring of newbies. Excellent work/life balance. Compensation and benefits are adequately aligned with Houston market.

Svantaggi

Company is currently contracting to right-size itself; thus there are few growth opportunities. Leadership has been deceptive with employees relating to its downsizing and future plans. It appears they are being constrained by their parent company, Loew's Corp.
