Vantaggi
To current employees: consider your exit strategy. To prospective employees: this is not a stable or people-first company. The writing is on the wall — proceed with extreme caution.
Svantaggi
Since 2022, Homebot has undergone repeated layoffs roughly every 10 months, the most significant of which occurred in May. This isn’t just a trend - it’s a pattern of instability that should concern anyone considering joining. Leadership turnover has become the norm, with so many executive changes in the past two years that it's hard to keep track. Most recently, the company laid off its Head of People - someone widely viewed as the cultural backbone of the organization. That decision alone should raise serious questions about where this company is headed. The return of the original founders has marked a noticeable shift in culture. Input from employees is no longer welcomed, and there’s a clear pattern of retaliation against those who voice concerns or challenge decisions. It’s not speculation - many of those individuals are no longer with the company. Morale has plummeted. Culture is no longer a priority. This is not the Homebot of years past or the 4 or 5 star ratings you see here on Glassdoor. The company that once earned glowing reviews has eroded into something unrecognizable. Perhaps most troubling is the internal normalization of erratic leadership. It's well known within the organization that the COO has referred to the CEO as “manic” - often in a joking manner, which says a lot about how seriously these behaviors are taken.
