Are you looking to take a step forward or backward in your career? As was already stated in another review, this truly is a family company. In my opinion, those who are in the "family" are treated differently, and the company especially focuses on retaining those individuals in the "family." If you have no connections or relatives in the Dubuque (HQ) office you will be treated differently by many of the partners, and your contribution will be viewed as less valuable. This is something that has been very frustrating to deal with, and has become more apparent over the course of the last year. I'm not sure how the company plans to grow and add employees with this type of culture. Also, the salary is not comparable at all to market. I have had friends ask about positions with this company and have turned them away. Honkamp over-promised in the interview stage and under-delivered in so many aspects. Don't waste your time applying to this firm.
