Good pay and benefits. Worked with good teachers who shared ideas and willing to help.

No support from administration at all. When asked for help it was counted against evaluation. Principal "fixed" my evaluation so I couldn't get ASPIRE bonus because I had put in my Early Resignation that the district requested we put in if we knew we were not returning the following year. Student behavior is blamed totally on the teacher. Unorganized. They would spring deadlines and meetings at the last minute as if we had no personal lives.

At an EAS school, there is more autonomy. It is not so microamnaged. Free Pre-k for your kids. Available bonus pay through PFP model.

Svantaggi

Not much coaching happening at EAS schools (for a first year teacher that may be difficult). Not all elementary schools have Pre-k so your kid may not attend the school you work at. I am finding out my new salary on THE DAY I RETURN TO WORK. Crazy.
