Vantaggi

Awesome, knowledgable people who are dedicated to great customer service and a job well done Passion for what could otherwise be a very boring industry Ongoing product and internal professional education program that is top notch The diner Location is great Flexibility in times and where you work On site daycare is impressive The gym Very collaborative atmosphere where people are generally helpful, willing to share what they know and are friendly I feel challenged each and every day. While it's easy to criticize and see where things can be improved because it's what you see every day, it's truly a good place to work with a culture unlike anything I have ever experienced.

Svantaggi

Some growing pains with communicating between various offices and don't really get the impression that there is any significant push to do something about it. Pay and benefits are nothing to write home about, but they make you feel like you should be grateful about the pay and benefits because so may people in the area are out of work. Many of the benefits only benefit you if you're married and have kids. Tuition reimbursement would be great. Middle management lacks vision (takes orders) and is generally inexperienced and it shows. There are definitely strides being made in this area. Difficult if not impossible to grow as a professional due to lack of opportunities and encouragement within your current position. People seem to be picked for positions before they're posted internally, so it feels like a pointless exercise to even apply except to let people know you're looking. Some managers' decisions seem to be made on a whim without exploring if someone else has solved the problem before or considering how it will impact others. It can get very loud and disruptions are frequent. There aren't enough quiet spaces for those times when you need a couple of hours to concentrate on something without interruption. Access to equipment for self directed learning is limited and usually you can't do everything you need to do when you do get it.

Vantaggi

Work/life balance Great people to work with on daily basis Ability to work remote (US based) Plenty of development opportunities I've been given the tools I need to do my job and be innovative I have an amazing manager and team that I lead

Svantaggi

I am restricted on where I can hire new employees right now. There are a lot of competing priorities with similar deadlines which can be stressful, but the days go by fast.

Vantaggi

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Svantaggi

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
