Working for ICW has been a very different experience when compared to working at my prior Fortune 500 insurance carrier. At ICW, the culture I have experienced has been more personal and tight knit. Employees are more visible, and individual contributions are easier to recognize. It feels like family. I have had greater access to leadership, experienced faster decision-making, and more flexibility in day-to-day work. My role has been broader, which has allowed me to gain exposure to multiple aspects of the business and apply my full skill set. The environment feels more mission-driven and relationship-oriented, with a stronger sense of accountability and ownership.

I have not really experienced any Cons at ICW. Even though ICW is a smaller insurance company, it has offered the same structure, stability, and scale as all the major national carriers. Processes are well-established, training programs are robust, and there are clear career ladders with opportunities to move laterally or upward. Compensation, benefits are in line or better than my prior employer.

Management is going in the wrong direction. New changes and processes with added work while taking tools away to help you do your work. The changes and processes are meant to cut costs to help the company expand while overworking the adjusters which negatively impacts claims handling and services provided to customers.
