I was first hired in 1989 and after having my first child and suddenly becoming a single mother, they worked with me as a seasonal employee and made it so I was rehirable....25 years later I was hired back, and then got hired as a permanent employee. Great flexibility, and awesome management, and Union workers.

PROBLEMS with a certain Manager who approved my FMLA, but then I applied for a Leave of Abscense, there was a lot of misunderstandings and my head boss called me over a conference call and said they looked forward to me coming back to work. But when I arrived, I was actually told I would only be able to work as a seasonal employee. It made a big mess with unemployment and then I was actually told I collected to much unemployment because I wasn't on furlough status. So be careful if things get really complicated, ask someone who is on your side.
