This is one of the nicest groups of people I have ever worked with, and the company treats their employees really well. It's not a silicon valley behemoth, but it's pretty nice. My supervisors were excellent, and well organized. If you like providing technical support, this is one of the best cubicles you're going to find. They ordered a pricey ergonomic mouse and keyboard to help my wrist pain, as well as a second monitor to go with the standard sit-or-stand desk, in my own cube with lots of space, storage and shelving. And this was all for the lowest position in the company. They're very picky in their hiring. I was proud to be included with such an outstanding, dedicated and resourceful team. Everybody did everything possible to ensure I felt welcome and appreciated. There's a real positive vibe here, and that successfully transfers to the customer service experience. The customers are usually pretty fun to interact with. Of course, there can be some difficult ones, but most people working in kids' education are friendly, patient and grateful. Sometimes kids will prank call, and most of the kids are just adorable. The website is usually pretty simple, so leading customers through is usually a breeze. It's especially entertaining when folks are learning computers for the first time. There is downtime, and management encourages independent study, which is great. The hr department is excellent, and work hard to make you feel valuable. They have yoga, self-improvement workshops, fun department outings, and massages with some of the best therapists I've had. The building has a nice little gym, and a very convenient location. Almost no overtime! Perhaps most importantly, I was fully encouraged to pursue all opportunities within the company. There are different departments, and they all work together well. Although I didn't get a position in QA, I had Tech Support's enthusiastic backing when I interviewed. Seriously, everybody here wants what's best for you, it's a great feeling! The health insurance has very good offerings, although the vision just took a step down. If you don't want Lasik, don't sweat it.

This lower position is just a step above temp duties, so it's is very basic, primarily dedicated to sign-in issues. During the busy season, you will process over 60 sign-in emails per day, usually more, which is incredibly repetitive and mind-numbing. Honestly, this position shouldn't be limited to college graduates, I did nothing here that I hadn't learned in high school or basic web surfing. There isn't too much room to move up. The new product serves kids, and is really well designed, so the job isn't tough. Their legacy product serves college students, I can't recommend that position unless the salary is unusually high. Silicon Valley is quickly becoming inhospitable for those making an average salary, and this position paid less than average. It's a good short-term gig for a fresh graduate or if you want a foot in the door, but I can't recommend this specific, lower position to anybody who needs a living wage for the area. After ten months, I was still paying rent mostly from savings, living a fairly humble lifestyle. There seemed to be an attitude that since I got a few hundred in perks, I should be ok with missing out on a few thousand in pay. It's heartbreaking, as I had big plans for this place and my family, and that was what pushed me to move on.
