The people here are, hands down, the reason I look forward to going to work at ICOM. The open dev floor really works for me because I have access to a huge range of skill and talent. I rarely spend time struggling with or troubleshooting issues, because I have access to designers, coders/developers and 3d artists - all on the same floor - and provided they're not strapped for time - are more than willing to help you out. Same goes for the other side of the office, which house the writers, QA, and PM/ID. The flex hours are great and allow you more versatility to plan your personal life around work.

As a millenial who has no formal education in business and absolutely no experience in running a company, I won't pretend to know I understand the trials and challenges management faces during an economic downturn. However, I feel like the mantra "Our people are our greatest asset" has been put to the test over the past couple of years. Developers who have requested use of their learning fund to cover costs of seminars, online tutorials, and other practical educational venues to further their skill sets have been turned down on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, I feel as though ICOM - an elearning company - is not fully able to invest in learning for their own employees. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend aspiring designers or developers to ICOM if they are looking for a place they can call a career.
