From the perspective of a US resident, all my cons relate to the general difficulties in working for a distant business as a foreign Fulltime employee. There is currently no US office. Due to this, income is subject to self-employment tax rates and tax payment is the responsibility of the employee. Paychecks may be subject to the FOREX. Additionally, standard tech industry benefits (e.g., healthcare coverage) may only be partially covered. Scheduling and time zone difficulties can make it challenging to connect with other team members on anything more than a professional level.
