Vantaggi
+ Workload is tough, but not crushing. I can work when I want as long as the work gets done. + Open PTO. Although experts say open PTO results in fewer days off, it is offered and it's encouraged to take time off to refresh and refocus. + People are given time to actually achieve their results. I think it depends on the role, but in my group it is understood that things aren't going to happen overnight. My experience is that management wants people to hit their goals and is supportive of missing goals if you are headed in the right direction and making progress.
Svantaggi
- Fast growth contributes to chaos in that there seem to be a lot of people working on initiatives, but they aren't always aware of what other teams are working on. - People that have been at Indeed a long time aren't very receptive to pivoting to a more accountable culture - because Indeed was small for a long time, there was often a lack of direct management and direction setting. - Most teams are geographically dispersed which can make progress on initiatives take longer.
