They give the impression of a flexible learning environment but in reality there is little room to put you on projects that align with your skills or interest. If you like styling, then there is plenty for you. Don't expect to be working on anything thought-provoking, despite all the marketing. Interns are used as a low-cost source of labour for completing mostly repetitive tasks. In addition, there is zero client exposure and you will rarely be given real responsibility or involved in key decision-making. The design process followed is highly flawed. There is little user testing, the designers rarely ask each other for feedback and everything is highly assumptions-based. You will feel demotivated after your first week there. Finally, the intern salary is significantly below federal minimum wage and not enough to get by in Hamburg. There is a refusal to acknowledge this by senior management as they know that most interns are young and desperate. In conclusion, if you want an internship with a positive learning environment and where you will be valued as an employee, I would highly consider looking elsewhere.
