Depending on the department you work for: - Easy work - Possibly a good place to work if family (and not career) is your top priority - Possible to work and go to school in the evenings - Good place to start a career and then leave

- Unsatisfying work - Low standards - Unprofessional - Huge salary differentials (some people get paid tons to do little work and others get paid poorly to do a lot of work) - Terrible work politics - Incompetent management - Fledgeling industry (health insurance) - The perks of the past (pre-2006) are over - Uninspiring and unmotivated work environment and culture - Non-profit mentality (cheap!) - Few career advancement opportunities exist for a select group of people. No one wants to rock the boat. Just do the bare minimum, don't complain, and collect your paycheck.
