Vantaggi
At the very least I can say one of my team members was helpful when I approached and asked for training.
Svantaggi
I was hired for this position with the upper management knowing full well my lack of experience in the field and was reminded of this constantly during my first two weeks but still received no formal training or direction. Supervisor prided herself on not being a micro-manager but gave no direction whatsoever. On top of that, it was not a warm welcome, especially from upper management, and basically nothing was done to make sure I was being properly integrated into the team. I had to ask one of my team members for help when tasks were assigned, and even then I had to ask to be shown how to do my job even though I was still new - it seemed as though my supervisor had forgotten that I was still new and needed training, or simply didn't care. Nobody ever reached out to train me after that initial first week. At the end it felt like I was being set up for failure. Lastly, there was no communication one-on-one between me and my team supervisor, no meetings set up to ask how I was doing, to see if I needed help, or had any concerns. This was a horrible work experience. If you work here, tread with caution and be ready to be confused by everything because nobody is going to give you proper training.
