I'd recommend attempting to secure a project promptly if you find yourself on the bench. I'm unsure if this policy is region-specific, but in my case, I faced termination on the grounds of redundancy after being on the bench for two months. With nearly two years of service at Infosys and two successful project deliveries, this wasn't an outcome I had expected. Very disappointing.
