Managers at Ingles normally rise to this level after many years of employment, starting as stockers or other workers, as teenagers. It seems in many cases, their management skills for people are sorely lacking when it comes to real world issues employees have to deal with. Excuses, postponements, evasion of issues or lack of desire to solve a problem is the norm. Most attempts to deal with issues using reasoning and problem solving are at about a high school level. Even one on one exchanges, at times are like talking to the inconsiderate school bully. Perhaps they can keep their store inventoried and stocked, but they need to stop acting like the guy beating the drum in Ben Hur as a management style.
