From my experience, the managers were extremely laid back and easy to get along with. The job itself was quite easy to understand and soon I was able to complete it with such ease that I didn't even have to look down. Also, if you had something come up and needed time off (even if it was that same day), the managers were always willing to work with you. For the most, everyone was able to get along well together and more than willing to assist if you needed help with something (bagging groceries, looking up a produce number, running an errand, etc.).

The managers were sometimes so laid back that they did not enforce the rules entirely (I worked at two of these markets and only ran across one manager, out of about 8, that did this).
