Vantaggi
- Everyone is given autonomy - You can get stuck into production code relatively quickly - Nice people, but that is subject to change as the staff are a revolving door
Svantaggi
- No organisation or processes. This is used as a selling point, but it really lowers productivity and output, and leads to disorganised, bad codebases - Projects have no direction, and priorities change every minute - CEO sells dreams - Really outdated technology, actively against moving into the modern world - They only hire graduates, so there's no one to learn from. Hiring strategy seems to be "throw things at the wall and see what sticks" - People are promoted from within, but being an experienced developer doesn't mean you're a good manager of people or projects - Bad pay, zero added benefits. Lowest legal pension and annual leave - Not trusted as adults. Working from home highly frowned upon, even during the pandemic - High staff turnover, and constantly heard management blaming the staff, and never trying to make changes. I heard this got even worse after I left - Cliquey culture. If you were in the "in" group it was fine, but saw people just going out for drinks in the middle of the day and only certain people were invited
