I was hired for what I thought was a permanent position. The IT department was made up of a manager, 4 help desk folks and 1 overrated tier 2 guy that built the entire environment. They were moving one of the data centers while their Tier 2 guy was on vacation. They called me on a Tuesday at 9:30 and wanted me to come in by 1pm so I could attend meetings on the data center move. Over the next two days I followed around their tier 2 guy who basically ignored me while he went about his business. Once the director decided to wait on the data center move, they let me go. They said I didn't have enough VMware knowledge. At no time during my 3 days at the company did they ask me to even log in to a windows or doing anything in VMware. Stay away! I saw a lot of problems in their environment.They never gave me a chance and couldn't even let me go face to face. They went through the contract company after hours.
