Good company values. Yes, there are some exceptions with certain people, but I believe as a whole, the company is truly trying to do the right thing for healthcare and is doing a good job of it. It promotes a culture of honesty, integrity, and doing the right thing. I really do like working for this company. They have good time-off policies (you can accrue "PTO" up to 480 hours I think and yes, it rolls over from year to year). Good work/life balance. I worked for another healthcare company in Utah before as a wound/ostomy nurse, and I must say that the culture of Intermountain is much better.

The compensation just isn't what the market says it should be. Looking around at similar jobs at say, the U of U where the salaries are public, or other sources, the pay just isn't great. When a class-mate in grad school (employed by the U hospital) saw the posting for one of the jobs I was considering, her reaction was "The job sounds interesting, but did you see that salary? That's ridiculous!" But I applied anyway.
