Good leaders have departed the organization. Other high performers are following them. And it is showing up in parts results. Aftermarket parts has always been the lifeblood of Navistar and bailed out the company in tough times. But with departure of good leadership business performance has gone downhill very fast. Chintan would walk the floor and knew everyone by name. He took the time to learn about our personal lives and professional goals. Approachability is the key. In the past employees would go the extra mile for good leaders but now that spirit is not there. Every week I provide a list of bullet points why parts product is losing market share and that works just fine. Every week employees talk about who will be the next one to leave this sinking ship. I have seen this business decline in front of my eyes within the last 2 years. Current leadership is not interested in learning or implementing solutions and the culture is heavy on explanations through bullet points. I echo other reviews that HR is the worst department ever at this Company. Their sole purpose is to protect and promote CHRO’s friends. HR has done nothing to stop the bleeding of good talent or even infuse new ones. HR and Leadership should focus on identifying and promoting employees that consistently outperform. These days unless you are a friend of the CHRO or the service solutions leadership team you cannot be promoted. You send the wrong message by retaining and promoting your friends.
