Vantaggi
I loved my clients - It was a joy and an honor to serve a predominantly LGBTQ+ client population. I gained exposure to a wide range of ages and clinical presentations and had the flexibility to choose to see individuals, couples/relationships, and/or families and had the clinical supervision to expand outside of my comfort zone when ready. My experience with one-on-one and group supervision was excellent; I always felt supported and had a safety net in place for when I worked with clients presenting with active risk or who were presenting with issues I was less familiar with. I grew and learned a lot from my fellow clinicians.
Svantaggi
Morale was almost always rock bottom among the client-facing team. It felt impossible to make a liveable wage here. The salary brackets as advertised on the company website are only for when you have a stable, full caseload... this was never the case for me over the time I worked there. (And I advocated for additional clients constantly.) Expect to earn only the minimum "base salary" for your first year or more. Administration is led by a non-clinician and policies are inflexible and profit-driven. Decisions are made quickly with seemingly little to no input from the team that works directly with clients and communicated poorly to all involved.
