Vantaggi
- Interesting projects with real impact to people of Europe - Some great people to work with - Loads of room for trial and error; this is a place where, if you want, you can really get creative (there's a catch however) - If you're up to it, demanding work environment that'll really push you to your limits (but there's a catch again)
Svantaggi
- Most upper level managers, with very few exceptions, are coming from a completely different era of IT. This leads them to hire mid-managers and stuff that also is very much of similar mind-set, thus creating a corporate environment without any real innovation - While you have the opportunity to learn through trial and error, this is usually due to your own drive to learn and not because the company encourages it. Quite the contrary, you'll be asked to over-deliver, usually due to someone over-promising on what's actually feasible. If you do go down this path, it's only because you're willing to sacrifice personal time and invest in yourself - The market segment the company works isn't flourishing. In fact, it's a dying market, at least in the way the company operates within it. Current CEO seems to be clueless around this, operating as if there's some money machine hidden in the alcove, where he pushes buttons and out come money.
