Vantaggi

*Intuit Edmonton has relative good development culture compare to other tech companies locate in Edmonton. *Work/Life Balance *Great CEO *Headquarters decisions directly affect to teams. *Good environment for interns, if you're looking for internship in Alberta.

Svantaggi

*Still have the "re-org" word each year. *Intuit Edmonton's management and promotion is too political. You need get into the right project under the right team in the right time. There are some managers are really good leaders, they will help your career path. *Intuit Edmonton has some managers or director is not a lead, but a boss. They are promoting way faster than developers who had been done the more work in the same team. Micro-management during 1-on-1 just for slow down developers' promotion. *Promotion depends on the working years, but not productivities or contributions. *Switch dev team is hard and need political decision from managers' bias which is not product decision or by teams' requirement.

Vantaggi

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Svantaggi

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
