If you spend enough time working here, it will literally drive you nuts. You start to feel like you are wasting people`s airtime, i mean they reinforce the fact that we are not selling anything but ultimately it still costs the people you are calling. People don`t know the difference between telemarketer and market reserach half the time so they lump us all into one category. they call cell phones, and it drives some people crazy. Some surveys go up to 30-40 minutes, and it`s all long distance as well, some people don`t realize they will be charged either which is a big problem. But Ipsos`s never will pay for their airtime, unless they have to. instead they make it seem like they are doing you a favor by passing on feedback. Even though the feedback that is given doesn`t make one ioda of difference to customer service because the companies don`t care they just use it for stats. most of These companies are already rich but they just want to give the impression they are trying to improve, but they never will. you gotta robotically read them all and try to make it seem like you are paying attention but in reality all they want is a number not any real opinions half the time. So in the most polite way possible you have to tell them to shorten their answers. Every 4th quarter and part way into the 1st quarter of the years there is a shortage of work too.
