Very much a "lead by fear" environment where you are not rewarded, but punished, for taking initiative. All direction must come from top down, regardless of (lack of) speed, feasibility or common sense. No strategic plan – there are frequent changes in direction when the dollars don’t immediately come rolling in (because of the awful planning and execution). Old school thinking – from product development to especially sales and marketing (think cold calling and Wolf of Wall Street LITERALLY). No focus on morale, culture or employee development.
