Crew is most definitely the best ready to wear brand in its price category, and it is clear that other fashion retailers try to emulate its brand identity.

I think it is possible for the shining stars to be recognized by the company and promoted (I am familiar with at least one case of an employee being promoted to Somerset), but overall being at the Ann Arbor store feels like being on the far side of the earth as far as corporate opportunities are concerned. People have spent years at the company and become managers, but seem like their mission becomes pushing AA sales to the point that the store is allowed to sell more specialty items, like the Somerset store has.
