If you luck out and get in a team that has a decent command structure, there is room for advancement and expansion of your skillsets.

Cronyism, politics, and silo'd teams are rampant, so good luck trying to find out anything out about the other departments you work with, especially if there is an issue. Management is a joke as they are constantly rotating in and out and only reactionaries seem to be promoted, which leads everyone to chasing the fire of the moment. Burnouts are extremely common and tolerated as management believes they can just throw more bodies into the mix until things level out.
