Honestly, they expect you to do your job and at least do it well. They can get on your back, but it's probably because someone is on theirs. It's a decent enough job, pays alright, benefits (were) good, and work/life balance is wonderful. There seems to be good movement within the company, but, as it's so large, there are so many different sectors and you can't really just move freely between them. Oh yeah, and there is an office communicator that has every JPMC associate on it. So, if you apply for a transfer you can talk to the recruiter though communicator. Although, I wouldn't suggest that...at all.

Management is an absolute joke. I'm noticing that corporate offices are pretty much full of incompetent people who have a high position for reasons unknown to the masses. There is constant fear-mongering, complaining, and hypocrisy from management. Also, the company is huge, so trying to get things done with H.R. is silly fun. You're better off flying to India, getting some butter chicken and naan, and hoping that you catch one of the H.R. employees to talk to directly. Even then, the only part of the trip that would have worked out would be the food.
