Sales Associate - Recensione dipendente - Associate presso JCPenney

JC Penney at the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park Kansas is a HORRIBLE place to work. You NEVER see a manager on the floor helping with the associates. You do see them shopping, playing, or simply goofing off. This store only cares about 1) how many credit applications you get, 2) how many online orders you process, 3) if you are mentioned in an online survey. If you are scheduled to close, you never leave when you are scheduled because there are not enough people working and you have to make the store perfect before you can leave. if you are scheduled to work and opening shift or a mid shift, you are not held accountable for anything. They do not support or care about their employees. An example is: I was on vacation and received a call asking me to come in because it was time for my review! They asked me to come in because they had to get the reviews turned in by a certain date. How did lack of planning on their part become my problem????? I have never heard a "thank you" from the management team. I have heard "straighten that table" while I was doing just that. I have been called the wrong name (even after being there more than one year) An employee that is rude to coworkers, does not help put clothes away, and argues with customers received "Employee of the Month" How did that happen?? Not once was I scheduled for mandatory training that everyone was supposed to attend. When I mentioned it, I was told "yea, we need to get you trained" but it never happened. If you enjoy working every holiday to include Thanksgiving, working every weekend, being pressured to make customers apply for credit cards, being treated unfairly, never leaving when you are scheduled to (if you close), not receiving training, and being belittled every shift you work, this is the place for you!
