Vantaggi
- Jennifer is an incredibly kind person who would never ask anyone to do anything she could not or would not do herself. She is committed to being involved in her organization and will overburden herself before pushing someone past their limit. - The company is generous with monthly gift cards for achieving revenue goals and quarterly bonuses. - The team, though remote, shows genuine care for each other. - Crafting projects is quite fun and materials/machinery are covered by the company when needed.
Svantaggi
- The COO regularly overpromises and underdelivers. She has publicly shamed employees in Slack while denying involvement in messes she's created, despite screenshots and documentation showing that her orders were being followed. - Deadlines are constantly moving and ultimately missed because things get lost in the shuffle. Project tracking software is not updated regularly and deadlines, also COO's responsibility, are often showing past due so no one knows what priority is. - A large portion of the team is related or friends which leads to underperforming employees to get away with a lot. The Marketing Director made a lot of changes that seemed to be moving in the right direction, but resigned as the COO commented that she would retrain employees to do things her way. Her daughter, in the marketing department, would leave days worth of responsibilities for others in the understaffed department to clean up. When confronted, the COO stated she was "a mother defending her daughter's honor". - The community of Jennifer's followers is toxic. There are regular anti-LGBTQ posts, criticism of other followers who are offended by a design trivializing gun violence, and generally hateful comments. - The workload bounces between incredibly slow and completely unmanageable. Tools were implemented to lighten the load, but are not being used effectively.
