The top most management are technically capable and have been so far successful in creating a good image for the company. Good chances for onsite opportunities for the employees.

I am not a pessimist but there ARE so many "Cons" and I am just jotting them. (1) Strong Regional bias - KPIT originated in Pune, Maharashtra (India). For this reason, employees (among Indians) at Pune unit are favored the most. All top posts are occupied from guys from Pune office. Whenever company has to make choices, guys from Pune always win the race not because of their capability but only because of they belong to a certain region of country. This is something which every KPITian knows. This undue favoritism has led to an virtual barrier between the employees. This is so so anti business and the top management has not done enough to address this very serious issue, probably they don't want to. (2) Unworthy people in middle level management are giving big dent to company. Its hard to find either technical or managerial abilities in most of the middle level managers. Contacts can lead to promotions, Regional bias also plays a significant role here. (3) Pay less and give less hike. Too much of bargaining for everything. (4) Volatile rules. To secure companies profits, KPIT won't hesitate implementing rules at the cost of employee's benefits. (5) HR team seems like a pipe, any feedback given to them just flows out from the other end. They behave in autocratic and rude manner when they have push their rules or agenda on employees. (6) KPIT India has policy of 75% juniors (less than 4yrs) and 25% seniors. They recruit fresh grads for a mediocre salary, makes them sign 2 year contract, give them poor hike, automatically they start looking after 2 years. The company too starts recruiting fresh batch. This cycle has been going on since a long time. (7) Employees are head count to the managers. Skills of employee are not taken into account selecting them for project. Lot of times it has happened that capable employees get rusted due to lack of work but still they would be retained in the project for billing purpose. (8) Haven't heard of anyone getting any (meaningful) perk from KPIT. No overtimes. (9) KPITs accounts at different customer locations have been closed due to attrition, short sighted management decisions etc. I will not recommend anyone to join KPIT, at least not in current times.
