Being surrounded by geeky merchandise, fun and friendly coworkers, and bonding over our fandoms with customers/employees. We also get a 20% employee discount. Sometimes we get a bonus during the winter season if we do really well in sales. Sometimes the owner books out a movie theatre for the employees and customers to watch the new Marvel/DC movies. If business is slow and there are no other tasks to do, we are allowed to read the comics on the shift.

No paid vacation, sick leave, or any other benefits besides employee discount. Can’t expect more benefits from a small family owned business. If you’re a female employee there will be alot of sexism, misogny, and sometimes harassment from male customers. Also, for the amount of work that a manager does such as doing orders, checking in merchandise, posting on the shop’s social media, and other stuff the pay should reflect that more.

The coworkers you will have are fun and every day will be a good time. There's always new things to see too, since books and games come out every month.

Like any job, rude or inconsiderate customers will appear, and there's a ton of people in and out of the store pretty much every hour.
