Not always paying at competitive rates

Great benefits, staff are appreciated, global headquarters, working for a good cause, very good work/life balance, caring CEO

Not a lot of opportunity for advancement. Those who have been promoted had left Kiwanis and returned later. Opinions of current, experienced staff are not always solicited/accepted. Departments aren't always good at advance planning, so there are many last minute, quick turn, disorganized projects. Roles aren't always well-defined. A few staff do not seem to have the experience and/or interpersonal communication style that they should, but are allowed to continue in their positions anyway.
