It doesn't matter how little effort you put in, they're desperate enough to keep anyone who will stick around, and there's not a lot of opportunities to move up anyways. Probably a good job for a kid looking for experience to pad a resume.

High turnover in employees and management means you'll never get anything done but also always be doing several people's worth of work. Management was oblivious to the state of their departments at any given moment. Pay isn't in the realm of competitive, even as far as low wage retail jobs go in the area. Not enough hours to go around, and not enough employees to cover breaks at scheduled times.

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
