Plenty of opportunity for professional growth and new professional experience. There are no bounds to mobility within the business. Established company with great loyalty to employees. The downturn in 2008 resulted in many layoffs, but the Kohler Family kept more than they had to. Outstanding benefits.

Svantaggi

Pay is about 10-15% below a comparable position in Milwaukee, but within the pay range for the greater Sheboygan area. Long-term employment often leads to the inability to see any way other than the "Kohler Way". Sometimes people are promoted beyond their level of competence and not properly mentored in their position.

I have already posted a con, but noticed another con that other posts point to. I read about disappointment of no remote work anymore. Remote work is difficult; you have a hard time building collaboration, teamwork and trust in a remote situation. But as I look at myself, I am on-site and love coming to work - would rather be around my team and have a constant pulse on the culture where I can address any issues immediately. Ask yourself, other than the loss of commute time and being in the comfort of your own home - why do people prefer to work from home. Many times, it can be due to avoiding the stress and anxiety that exists at work. Now ask yourself, what would make people want to be in the office versus at home. Whether you are remote or in person, not wanting to come into the office may be a sign that you are not happy and lacking fulfillment from your current circumstances.
