Vantaggi

-great creative editorial staff: mainly females who run both Audrey Magazine and KoreAm. -family oriented office: in the office itself, there's only about 7-10 people you see on a daily basis. You can't help but become closer with your office mates. -great networking opportunities for those starting in the Asian American scene

Svantaggi

-If you're a single, young female, your opinion/suggestion doesn't matter. -Pay is WAY below industry standards for the amount of hours you put in.

Vantaggi

KoreAm Journal for 25 years has been an English-language magazine about the Korean American experience. With its start as a literal mom-and-pop publication, the scrappy tabloid persevered through the decades, growing into its most recent incarnation as a perfect bound, matte-finished, semi-monthly with a professional, 4-color processed design and layout, often with adroitly polished writing, devastating photography and, on occasion, award-worthy journalism. What a long, strange trip it's been.

Svantaggi

Has the debt-to-income ratio ever been in the publisher's favor? Though modesty seldom seems to apply to Korean Americans, a KoreAm staff salary has always required a certain frugality of lifestyle. To this end, early this week, the magazine's management suspended publication indefinitely. The August/September issue, currently on new stands, will be the last (for the time being). Content from the magazine will continue to post on the associated site: iamkoream.com.
