Low wages, wages are set well under industry standard for the surrounding area with your chances of raises / promotions being solely based on how much leadership likes you rather than on work performance. Multiple discussions took place over a year regarding a raise with being drug along and never given a definitive yes or no. Leadership is quickly dismissive of new business ideas or process changes to assist the rest of the organization and deemed as 'bad ideas' and then later the same exact ideas are implemented as a 'good change' when the idea 'comes from them'. Management often takes a combative stance against staff with morning meetings serving as almost dedicated time for the staff to be yelled at for operational shortcomings instead of addressing mismanagement of staff. Departments are quick to challenge one another and adopt an 'us vs you' stance when interacting with one another leading to unnecessary friction within the work environment and drama between staff.

At the same time, we believe it is important to clarify where statements do not accurately reflect how our organization operates. Compensation and benefits at LEFCON are not set arbitrarily. Our salary ranges are independently benchmarked through our payroll provider and evaluated against regional market data for companies of similar size. Based on these comparisons, we consistently fall in the middle of the market. Career progression is also not based on personal preference. We have defined career paths and advancement criteria that are communicated across the organization. These are designed to provide a clear and consistent framework for raises and promotions, and many team members have successfully advanced through this process. Compensation ranges are standardized by role, and candidates are informed of pay and benefits prior to accepting a position so they can make an informed decision. We work to maintain consistency and transparency in how compensation is applied across the team. We also want to address the concern around communication and retaliation. We are not aware of any instances where employees have been penalized for raising concerns with leadership. Creating an environment where employees can speak openly is important to us, and any suggestion otherwise is taken seriously. While we recognize that individual experiences can vary, we do not believe this review fully represents the structure, expectations, or culture we work to maintain. We remain committed to continuous improvement and to providing a professional, growth-oriented environment for our team.

- Ticket rot is common. 864 properties supporting thousands of users while only having a handful of techs - Reckless onboarding of properties with no documentation (and they scratch their heads and scream at their workers once they lose clients) - No desire to actually solve issues in a root-cause analysis manner, just break fix support with no care for the client's success - Basically a giant call center in which you're expected to solve issues caused by Marriott/Hilton/whomever with no ability to actually create tickets through them (basically a scam) - Ownership is never explicitly mentioned, everyday is 24/7 constant stress and putting out fires - Literally no training given at all, sink or swim mentality, sweat shop style workplace - Management will scold and scream at you - Understaffed is an understatement; it's a miracle the place is still running - You will never be given a second to think; constant, neverending phone queue perpetually with people on hold - Employees are not appreciated and instead are blamed for every issue - Laughable pay, especially for higher tier techs (their SME was making 64k and they refused to pay him more; he then proceeded to get a job paying nearly twice that, so don't listen to them when they inevitably respond to this review with the lie of them paying techs according to market averages)

While we respect that every employee's experience is unique, many of the claims in this review are factually inaccurate and do not reflect the reality of our organization. LEFCON has been in business for more than 26 years and employs over 80 people, including more than 65 professionals in technical roles. The characterization of "a handful of techs" supporting hundreds of properties is simply untrue. We also strongly disagree with the assertion that properties are onboarded without documentation. Documentation is a critical part of our onboarding process, and we work directly with clients to review, verify, and maintain that information. Likewise, the statement that our technicians cannot engage Marriott, Hilton, or other vendor support channels is incorrect. Our teams regularly work with brand support organizations, vendors, and third-party providers as part of resolving client issues. As a managed services provider, helping clients solve problems is an important part of what we do. When a hotel loses connectivity, a PMS system fails, or a guest-facing technology issue impacts operations, our clients expect us to respond quickly and effectively. That responsibility comes with pressure, but it is also the nature of the role and the reason our clients trust us with their operations. We also disagree with the claim that there is no training. New employees participate in a structured onboarding process, and we provide ongoing access to training, certifications, and professional development opportunities. Like any technical career, growth requires initiative, but the resources are available to those who choose to take advantage of them. The suggestion that employees are not appreciated is equally inconsistent with the culture we work hard to build. We maintain an employee recognition platform, host multiple company events throughout the year, provide opportunities such as tickets to local sporting events, and regularly recognize team members for their contributions. We know appreciation matters, and we invest significant effort in demonstrating it. No company is perfect, and we continuously work to improve. However, many current employees have built long careers here, and several former employees have chosen to return to LEFCON after gaining experience elsewhere. We believe that speaks more accurately to the environment we have created than a single anonymous review.
