Great people on the parallel levels to work with. Overall, I miss the staff I worked with. They were some of the best friends that I've ever made, and we built each other up to the best working levels that we could achieve. There's also a great atmosphere and push to work for the common goal of Christ.

Pay too low. Even though they promote family values, they tell you that you have to think of your job as a ministry and that they can't pay the industry standard because it's a church. There were also no raises in the years that I was there. Toward the end of my time there, they began to lay off employees who had been there for years while simultaneously building a million dollar remodel. It just seemed to have to mix ups in priority. There was obviously enough money to pay people who worked hard for them what they were worth, but they spent it elsewhere or didn't manage it well. I've seen examples. Also management and leadership was disconnected from the processes, needs, and troubles of the people they managed. Sometimes they were just hard to talk to and you wonder how they even ended up in a leadership position in the first place, at least in my department. Also, employees go to upper management with open door policies, only to have their concerns disregarded and disclosed to the people that they were trying to avoid knowing about it in the first place.
