1. Be ready for graveyard shift that is going to be your new norm. 2. The good money pays for your health, and not just your hours of shift, but also for 24 hours of adjusting and readjusting to the changing schedules every month, and sometimes every 2 weeks. 3. The operation is not seamless and you have to deal with more than just one assigned leader/supervisor when you face issues at work. 4. Often when issues at work are reported, you are either left stranded, or just told you are the problem, either with your own internet or that other department are the problem, the actual department you're in usually go into high defence mode, and you can only shut up and try to comply the best you could, easily leading to burnout. 5. You are entitled for standard medical, annual leave, as well as insurance for your health. But all subject to approval by the operation team leadership. And the procedure of application is not as straightforward, even for when you're sick, you have to apply for medical leave at least, subject to who you deal with and if your contract stipulated so, 3-4 hours before your intended medical leave, and it is not guaranteed for approval. So you basically have to be on graveyard shift even when you're sick. (Who knows when we will be sick right?) 6. Operation management is a lean team, sometimes you don't get immediate response for your emergency issues during shift, and there are often problems with the connection for your on-call duty, which is being blamed on your internet, and you will have to replace your (up to minutes) loss. It is a must, you have no choice or say in it. 7. When asked about emergencies such as what time is your shift, the manager will call you up, or message you to be patient when your shift is next day or two, and you don't know which shift you are going to get and whether you should sleep early or later to make sure you are awake for your next graveyard shift. 8. Decide at your own risk whether to take this job or not, whether the money is of equal value for your time, energy, health, and mental health. 9. Make sure you have your own social support system, don't expect good social support from the company, they have a pretend one that works to support you to work longer hours and stay for longer terms no matter what your health and mental condition is.
