Vantaggi
-The pay is great and the only thing keeping me here for the short term. -Company making a ton of money (more than before even with the pandemic) so there’s mostly job security, but they did have two rounds of layoffs. They quietly pushed a dozen or so people out in the spring, and then more publicly eliminated 45 corporate roles in October. -Friendly coworkers are some of the nicest people I’ve met.
Svantaggi
The work-life balance used to be the #1 reason most people worked here, but everyone from sales to tech works until the late hours now. Department heads are forced to overwork teams because they’re terrified about not meeting senior leadership’s asks. The products are bad. Glitchy, filled with hidden charges, misleading… Everyone knows it’s a serious problem but it hasn't been fixed. I tell family and friends not to buy our stuff because I don’t want them to be like our customers who have something go wrong and then have to wait for 5+ hours on the phone for an agent to help them. Diversity and inclusion isn’t a priority here. I’ve heard senior male leaders make jokes about the #MeToo movement casually in the office, and a handful of BIPOC coworkers have shared terrible stories of racist or sexist incidents at the office. The execs talk a lot about diversity and inclusion, but many people in the office feel it’s all talk.
