You received a cursory look into online marketing (SEM/SEO) which is a viable method to conduct business. They did provide a weekend of classroom and "interactive" training before sending new representatives to the "sales floors". Benefits (on paper) were decent but very few people would stick around to enjoy them.

Two words: boiler room. It was a heavy phones sales (all cold calls) position. There was no reasoning on how leads were generated; each person would constantly call upon each others clients and prospects. There was no sense of order and it was a free for all environment. Very unprofessional. The "successful" sales personnel were those that would use VERY questionable tactics and ethics while dealing with customers. This included over promising results on the marketing campaigns that LiveDeal would create, just to get the sale. Internet reviews of the company were horrible which made it difficult for sales personnel to be successful without applying unethical methods to gain clients.
