Vantaggi
Co workers were amazing, benefits were cool(average, I guess)
Svantaggi
Layoffs. It's something that happens at most companies, but it got to a point where I never knew if I'd have a job in the next 6 months or not. Perhaps I just came in at a bad time. Less employee focused than it used to be. The CEO has a "take it or leave it" attitude, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He just seems like he cares more about business than employees, like he doesn't have a heart sometimes. I heard he took away some perks to save money.. small perks, but still. Again, I "heard" that. It could just be rumor Business over employee attitude seemed to be very prevalent in my management chain as well. I had good managers, but we reorg'd so many times that I eventually started getting some duds. VP and management making promises for our team that are super unrealistic to keep and expecting us to work ridiculous hours everyday, every weekend... for no reason. I again, would like to emphasize that this was my personal experience, but I think it's a bad sign that my management and my CEO seemed to have similar attitudes. There is great management at CenturyLink, but since of my personal experience was just awful. Excessive reorg makes it unnecessarily more difficult to move up, because it's like you have to start all over with each new manager/VP to prove that you do good work and be in good standing with them. My initial experience was much better and I would have given a higher reading in the past. But my last experience us the most recent and left a lasting impression on me.
