Most employee's come on as engineers and move into other roles, such as marketing, sales, management, etc. This sets the tone for everyone to have a respect for the time and effort required to design a product. There were a lot of high quality experienced engineers to learn form.

Window treatments and lighting are not the most captivating subjects for a mechanical engineer to work on. The electrical engineers seemed to have a different experience, as they always seemed enthralled in their work.
