The company also trusts employees to own complex systems, which can be professionally rewarding for those who thrive on independence.

Roles can become single-point-of-failure positions due to limited cross-training and inconsistent communication. Expectations aren’t always clear during leadership transitions, and compensation doesn’t always reflect the level of responsibility.
