MITRE tuition benefits are amazing comparison to other consulting companies. Great place to get additional degrees, certifications, etc while working. managers encourage this! if you can do this, you can take it to another industry when you leave

if you want to accelerate your career and and grow, this is not the place for you. I speak particularly to younger workforce (Gen Z and Millennials). I was able to move up quickly with a lot of responsibility in previous health care consulting jobs, but at MITRE, I found it difficult to be taken seriously. There is ageism for sure (number of times, I get called a baby or I remind someone of their daughter is too many). ex federal employees who view this as their retirement job, and who come to projects as subject matter experts while carrying the same dysfunction of government.
