AIA Gold Medal Firm. Solid reputation in the community. All firm principals are very seasoned leaders with a solid design background and the technical knowledge to stand on. If you are entreprenurial-minded, you will do well here. People work hard, but they go home to their families at night. If you are an athlete and/or keep physically fit, you will immediately fit into the culture here. The firm weathered the recessed better than nearly all local firms. Strong involvement in the local community. Performance reviews happen as topics and issues arise.

This is a sole proprietorship so you really only need to please one person. If your relationship with him goes well, you're good. There is currently no opportunity for management to ascend to partnership. The staff is fantastic, but is very hard to get to know because of the heads-down work environment. This is not the firm if you are looking for a sustainability and revit strengths. Project design, while strong, is stuck on "repeat." There is very little forward momentum. Project are regional in scope and include a large percentage of renovation work. There are no annual salary increases or standard performance reviews.
