Vantaggi
- The other people you work with. Everyone is there suffering together so the trauma bonds you form are real close.
Svantaggi
- Work-life balance - or lack thereof. Expected to work overtime to finish tasks and supervisors act shocked when everyone is burnt out. - Not filling positions and expecting others to pick up the slack. Everyone who wasn't management was doing the work of 2-3 other people, and I know many people got reprimanded for not doing the work in the amount of time it would take the regular amount of people to do it would. - Pay/benefits. You barely get any paid holidays (it's the bare minimum/what is legally required), and you basically have to beg for any amount of a pay raise. I knew many people who had side hustles in order to make ends meet. - Blatant nepotism and favoritism. I mean, one of management's daughter has a job there - she just showed up one day - and while it's a relatively relaxed workplace for dress code, she dresses wildly inappropriate for this setting. Also if you're not a favorite (and there is sexism involved in creative, specifically against men), don't even think about potentially getting a promotion or raise.
