Vantaggi
1. Good working environment. - I was fortunate to be part of a small team that is very tight knit and values work life balance. These are people whom I've grown to consider as close friends even outside of work. 2. Excellent learning grounds for Revit. - Every newly hired modeler undergoes Revit 101 certification which teaches the basics of Architectural and MEPFS modelling up to construction documentation. Every BIM staff is given his/her own Autodesk license which include, but is not limited to, the AEC Collection, BIM 360/ACC, and TwinMotion. The company is also the first in Asia to be ISO 19650 certified which ensures compliance in international BIM standards and processes. 3. Extensive growth to those who are willing to put the effort. - Aside from growing my Revit skills through project engagement, I have been given a good opportunity to hone my soft skills by closely collaborating and sharing insights with teammates and project stakeholders.
Svantaggi
1. Salary - Salary is lower than other BIM companies in the country. 2. Regularization - Majority of BIM staff is project based/contractual. There are no regularizations in the associate level. 3. Work/Life balance - 48 hours work week - Only 5 paid leaves a year - Heavy workload which frequently forces staff to work way beyond normal work hours. 4. Technical skill growth - There are no advanced courses/workshops that teach the staff to fully utilize the power of Revit. Employees are forced to self-learn which leads to inconsistent techniques and methods of modelling per project.
